Soichi Hashimoto's One-Handed Sode-Tsurikomi-Goshi
The one player synonymous with one-handed sode-tsurikomi-goshi is Japan’s Soichi Hashimoto, who counts this technique to be his tokui-waza. Despite the fact that everybody knows this is what he does, they are not able to stop him from doing it. Enjoy this video and be amazed at his technical wizadry in doing the one-handed sode.
When doing the one-handed sode, there is always a danger of injuring uke’s arm, especially if it gets extended during the throw. Hashimoto has perfected the art of keeping uke’s arm bent so as to avoid this.
